Well, you know you are somebody when three of the world's most famous authors mention you in their novels. We had Alexander McCall Smith describing Geldof as "that man with the untidy hair, who sang to help the hungry" in Blue Shoes and Happiness, Ian Rankin including geldof and Bono in his last novel, set at the G8, The Naming of the Dead, and now Andy Mcnab has a glorious line in Recoil
"Sir Bob the Knob and Bono the Dog Biscuit did their bit, but they were pissing into a force ten"
Love it!

I was at Ian Rankins talk at the Hay festival. He said that although Rebus (the main character in his novels) was critical on Live8 and Bob in "The naming of the dead", he (Ian) didn't agree with Rebus on that!
