Got this message from a lady working for an American TV company. They are doing a docu. on Bob and the Rats. They particularly want info from anyone who saw/knew the Rats and anyone else who knew Bob in the early days. If you PM me your email, I will pass it on. I have also asked her for an email. "Hi Irene, My name is Charlotte and I work for a company called Alba Media. Alba have a strong track record for producing documenatries for the Biography Channel, part of A&E network in US. In the past, we have made shows on Bono, George Michael, Grace Slick and Fleetwod Mac, and our latest commission is for Bob Geldof. I wondered if you could help me. Basically, the show traces Bob's life through from his childhood in Ireland to Band Aid and Live Aid. I have already interviewed a number of characters from Bob's past but am short on characters rom his early life. Did you ever see Boomtown rats in concert? Hope to hear back from you soon"
I am sure lots of you can help.. Arr GEE, CHris, Jules, Top hat ????
Got more details- My email is charlottebarrymore@gmail.com so please please do contact me if you have any other thoughts. I would like to maybe speak to a BR fan who went to either a lot or some of the early BTR gigs. Any ideas? OVER TO YOU FOLKS!
I'm still in Slovenia, until Saturday so can't do anything right now. I only saw the Rats live once in 1979, didn't meet Bob until 2003 so not sure if I'm much help. will contact her at the w-e.
She particularly wants to speak to Pete Briquette. I know she has contacted Simon and Gerry, so she needs a balanced view. If you are out there Pete? Or if someone knows a contact email, please pass it on.
