300!!!???!!! How?
Not sure how many I have, let's count!
I have 6 copies of Tonic for the Troops (2 vinyl one wore out; 4 CDs - three different editions plus the while label promo courtesy of the guys at bobgeldof.info when we were pals); 6; 2 BTR; 8 3 FAOS; 11 3 MB; 14 3 VD; 17 2 ITLG; 19 Throw in a couple of hits albums; 21; 2CDs + 7" of Mondays re-release; 24; 2 no 1 (12" + 7"), 2 mary(diff covers), 1 modern, 1 clockwork, 2 rat trap (with & without grime), 1 original mondays, 1 diamond, 1 flexu dun leary, 1 slay, 1 banana, 1 guilty, 1 million, 1 house 12", 1 charmed double, 2 dave (12" + 7" ticket), 1 tonight 12", 1 drag, 1 hold; 47 so 47 just rats {ignoring any compilation}
2 Gerry Cott singles; 49
two Gung~ho singles (CD + tape) + album; 52
Then a double up of the four Geldof albums (thanks to the anthology); 60;
12" TITWC, CD LLAR, 7" Cry, CD Indifference, CD Love, CD Gospel, CD Room 19, CD Hippy, CD Happy, CD Crazy (though arguably that is truly a Rats CD with the Peel session), CD Pale; 70
So 71 in total
oh and Band Aid!
7" + 12" (and video)
73
Anything else?
videos 2 DVDs 2
so 77 + a few tapes and mp3s (won't count them) + 2 songbooks + autobiography + picture book and there may be something I missed
BUt that's about it unless you include Kirsty MacColl's You Caught Me Out
I have 10 singles from Japan,loads of stuff from America(I have just recieved UP ALL NIGHT/ANOTHER PIECE OF RED 7 inch single),rare bits like Joeys On The Street(7 inch single from Norway),Lookin` After No 1 with a differant b-side from Australia.I have some live BBC albums,Bob Geldofs In The Pouring Rain(12 inch),5 flexi disc and loads of other rare stuff.I do not have any Gung Ho,Jerry Cott or Band Aid/Live Aid.My collection has become an addiction. The strange thing is my record player is busted so I cannot no longer hear my vinyl any more.
I've never done a full tally of my Rat stuff. There's a few albums and singles tucked away in a cupboard and then about tapes, including BG solo and some duplicates where I over played them and had to buy them again. I still kept the earlier copies. I seem to have about 3 or 4 versions of each of the albums!! But it won't amount to 300 I wouldn't think.
