Interesting that Fingers is so involved in the Fuji Rock festival for so long.  Probably the reason he couldn't take part in the Rats gigs that will be taking place in the next week or two.  I guess there is still the prospect that he may make the odd appearance in the new year, especially if The Rats head to Japan.

Incredible he hasn't seen Geldof for 20 years.  Maybe he wanted to discuss royalties rather than the G8 .......

Fingers' real name is John Moylett, but he is better known to many as a founding member of The Boomtown Rats. He has been working in the Japanese music scene for 15 years, and has been part of the Fuji Rock team for six of them.

.....

A final question for Johnnie Fingers - has he persuaded any of his old Boomtown Rats bandmates to visit Fuji Rock yet?

He shakes his head: "Not yet. Bob Geldof was over here recently and we had dinner. It was the first time I'd seen him in 20 years - but he mainly wanted to talk about the G8."

FEEDER
IAN BROWN
TRICKY
SPARKS
ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION
TRAVIS
BEN FOLDS
MYSTERY JETS

Mmmm, that's just the cynic in me.    If this does go to the high court, Geldof may actually have to own up to the fact that he didn't write the song after seeing a telex machine in Atlanta.  Cue big internet re-writes galore!   "When the legend becomes fact, print the legend".

Enough holes on page 192  (written by Paul Vallely)  IS That It?

I believe like the previous case with Cott, Roberts and Crowe it will all be negotiated away.

But if the reunion does take place, it won't cost anything to go and watch.

Address:Royal Courts of JusticeThe StrandLondon

Dates & Time:Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays and the day immediately after). Courts usually sit from 10.30 AM to 1 PM, and then 2 PM to 4.30 PM. The building itself is open a bit earlier -- from 9 AM to 4.30 PM

Tickets & Cost:Free to watch from the public galleries. Children under the age of 14 are not allowed

See justice.gov.uk for more information

Guilty till proven guilty, isn't that the law. Bob might be muttering 'shame shame' by the end of this. Or Johnnie might be saying 'justice isn't blind, it just looks the other way...

Maybe the Royal Courts of Justice is part of the 2017 European six date tour. Anyway a very interesting development, though it tears at the soul of the band.
