plenty of lurkers (63 visitors in last 24 hours), but few posters. Must confess having been credit crunched my attention is elsewhere at present. However if anyone who is lurking out there has a lucrative job for a highly skilled software professional like me, then let me know
What constitutes as a hit on here? If I log out and return, is that 2 hits or one? As some of those might be me!!
Are you saying you lost your job ArrGee? You aren't the first person I've heard say that.
A visitor is a unique ip address. In general, most people will have the same ip address until they reboot their computer. So logging out and in will be just one visitor.
The number of visitors has increased since the start of the year and most interestingly since July there have been more new visitors. Many don't register, but they are viewing. Most come from google, then via my blog (also increasing in visitors).
I guess the thing is to start some interesting topic and get people writing.
As for my job, yes i am a month away from redundancy, but it's not all bad. I get to spend time @ home and have a lump sum due in December. With a bit of luck I'll have a new job in the new year.
