I suppose if you never bought a record in your life from this period it may be interesting! (Note how the Boomtown Rats are on the cover and not the Clash!).  As usual Mondays is chosen.

The tracklisting on Amazon was wriiten by someone who never heard these songs...

Two Pints Of Lager & A Bag Of Crisps Please - Splodgeness Abounds

69 Guns - The Alarm

My Reward - Teardrop Explodes

Swords Of A Thousand Men - Slodgeness Abounds (oh dear, poor Ten Pole Tudor, his only hit as well)

Damned, Undertones & Sham get two tracks, but it is pretty much the usual suspects.

boring that they chose mondays again, but if this compilation can generate some interest for the rats, or any of the other bands, then it´s great news...

Correction. He also had hits with "Who Killed Bambi?" & "Rock Around The Clock" (albeit as joint Double A side singles with the Sex Pistols), and with "Wunderbar" - which was a number one in Belgium & a Top 10 hit over Europe. "The Hayrick Song" and "Throwing My Baby Out With The Bathwater" also did better abroad than they did in the UK, but by then Eddie was already doing a Max Splodge & frittering a lot of time away on a potential career treading the boards/on the silver screen instead of consolidating his musical one - the result being most of his band leaving to other things, such as the far more successful King Kurt (in terms of longevity, at any rate!).

A man of considerable talent which to date he's wasted. Shame.

Wonderful to see the Toy Dolls on it - as Olga would say "more money for old rope!"

Ah, I forgot about Wunderbar. But the point was they didn't acknowledge he did it at all.

Very interesting that The Jam and The Clash tracks are two or three years after the majority of the others.  The history of Punk/New Wave has been rewritten post-1982 (or maybe post Levi ad circa 1990).
