Now I may be heading into dangerous waters here.Yet,I believe mondo was the second greatest album our kids gave us.To this day I only have the vinyl copy-which came with a lyric sheet and poster. This is the hardest cd to find in the usa.The songs are great. Many styles which reflect the band at the time. The good, the bad, and the lovely.
Look on ebay and you should find a 2005 version and if you are lucky an original columbia records cd of Mondo Bongo.Banana Republic is my favourite single by the boomtown rats.

The Columbia versions of the CDs are all pretty rare. Personally I prefer the UK version with Fall Down and Whitehall 1212, but the alternate Up All Night, with a different mix to V Deep, is well worth having on the US version.

I was amazed at all the local skinhead punks from my town were causing trouble. Most of them were from very rich houses who now in 2009.should be embarrassed. their parents should be in jail..LOL!
I have always said. The Suburbs of Dublin are the same as Boston.Much so than New York.New York is so much larger.New york and Philly never tell the tales of being Irish as much as Boston.New York,Philly,Washington DC..They never had a Jack Kerouac..The South belongs to true irish Americana. The Irish are global.Everywhere you go,from one tip of the globe and back.Everyone can relate to the Irish.
