He's been announced there for some time as a "special guest" but I haven't heard of any other shows in Germany (nor anywhere else...). And the show has not been confirmed here on the bobgeldof.info, but for anyone in Germany, it might be worth keeping an eye on that! It might only be a short set... Or a speech... But still...
the protocol for gig announcements on bobgeldof.info is very clear. We do not post any dates until the contracts have been exchanged with venues. We are in contact with Bob's tour manager on a daily basis and he notifies us of any confirmed dates. Therefore, at this stage, Wimbledon is not confirmed and should not be treated as such yet. The same goes for Germany.
This is not to say they will not happen, it is that they are not confirmed at present. I notice that tickets seem to be on sale for the Wimbledon date. His tour manager is about to call them to verify the situation. We will keep you posted as and when we have correct information to hand.

Bob's tour manager has just informed us that the appearance in Germany is in connection with the Commission For Africa and not a concert. Hope this clears up the situation. Ian
Last year leaflets were printed from the Swan Theatre at High Wycombe with a date on for Bob in November, obviously it wasn't happening. Builds your hopes up for a bit though
Hi Jules! Well, this is my nickname! I got row D. I thinkt that's quite good. I really hope the concert will take place on december 3rd, since I'm coming from Switzerland!
I know its frustrating, but dont make any arrangements until you see the gigs listed on the site. As we have stated before, Bob's management give us info immediately gigs are confirmed. We have spoken several times with Bob's tour manager, and although things are in the pipeline, as of today, no confirmations have been given.
It is interesting to see people making arrangements to fly in for the gig, but be cautious, sometime ago we had very distressed people in Australia who had booked flights and tickets for a festival gig which was advertised on a festival website in Australia, but in fact was never confirmed and in fact did not take place. The people involved were very upset, but we can only reiterate that unless the gigs appear on the official site, then they are not confirmed and indeed may not happen at all. We will let you know as soon as we have the information to hand.
Thanks Tina, with this born in mind I have booked two front row tickets to the left of the auditorium, just in case I miss out.
For me personally it is no effort, the theatre said that in the event of 'cancellation' on their part they refund the money. OK that will be very disappointing, but I only live 60 miles away I need to not make any travel arrangements in advance, so I'm prepared to take the risk.
Should it happen, if anyone is interested would you like to meet up for a beer beforehand?
I mean, I'd come to London anyways, but would be of course very sad, if the concert didn't take place. If I can buy tickets from ticketmaster, I feel like the concert should take place. Why should they sell tickets then?
Most of my family live in North London so it is not a problem for me.Maybe we could use this concert(if it happens) to met up.Could be fun if a lot of fun,if people from this forum meet up.
well iv,e done it booked 2 seats for the wimbledon gig on sat 3 december hope it goes ahead as its 150 miles for me!! The wife said we can go shopping i would rather stick hot pins in my eyes. would be great to have a beer see you all soon paul + angela { reevo}
I will post my itinerary when I obtain a confirmed schedule. Flight is now around $600 from Atlanta to London. So, I am waiting for it to go down some.
Yes, I am a big fan! I went from WA state to Winnipeg two years ago to see Bob. One of the best concerts I have been to! He was just great. I posted my review on this website, but I don't think it is anywhere to be found with all the reconstruction of the site.
I'll get some advice from my sister who lives nearby on a place to meet. We have a few months to think about it! I'm Row D 12 and 13, apparently D is front row.
Do you know where the stage is? I have a copy of the theatre, but the stage is not marked. I also think the "stalls" are all front row. Have you been to this theatre prior?
I'm just now trying to find out which hotels are near by and what airport to fly into. Probably will make a vacation out of it, as I have another week coming to me this year. Dec 2nd - 5th I plan to be in London!
How many of us do you think can meet prior to the show?
I would strongly suggest that you do not book any flights if your only reason for visiting the UK is to see Bob at Wimbledon. I was with Bob's tour manager this week, discussing the itinerary and metioned that Wimbledon tickets are on sale and I asked if this was definitely confirmed now.
His answer was as yet, no gigs are confirmed, I am not saying these gigs won't happen, but as I have stated on many ocassions, if they are not on the Official Bob Geldof website, they are not confirmed. Therefore there may be the possibility of people being disappointed.
Last year we had the same problem when people booked internal flights and hotels for a show that was advertised on the internet in Australia. we knew here that this show was never going to take place, we tried to advise people not to plan a journey and tickets, and then we had lots of complaints.
I know that Bob's tour manager is currently confirming the gigs so we should have the information next week sometime.
they're not too expensive, but they will be when i've paid for two people because my family won't let me go on my own (i'm showing my age here *Blushes*) that will b £48 and if i can get my friends to come so it won't b AS embarrassing with my mother hanging around.....
wot the .... am i gonna dooooo.....
sorry me like playing with the enoticons (showing my age again)

Ian, I know this is certainly not your fault and probably not Bob's, but it's all so ****ing infuriating!!!! Geldof's fans are willing to make the efforts to travel across the world to hear him sing, but this mess makes it almost impossible to do so. If I understand correctly, the tickets for the show are already sold, even if the contract is not signed, but if I go to Ticketmaster, it says "currently not on sale". Does that mean it's sold out?! So if I wait for a real confirmation, I can't get any tickets?
Can't Bob's tour manager demand that tickets don't go on sale before the contract is signed? Seems like it's the least they could do.
Fingers crossed that at least one of the fifteen dates is an Irish one (and not somewhere remote from me like Cork)!
Read on the net today that Bob's appearance fee has gone from £30K to £50K in the aftermath of Live 8, and someone from that agency you contact to book him said he's in great demand. There's talk of a lecture tour of the US too..........
Makes the price of a ticket to a gig seem quite reasonable really! And you get the bonus of the music as well as all the chat!
my problem is getting the money in time to get the tickets
cuz i'm too young to go on my own (apparently) i've gotta take me mum with me and pay for her ticket seeing as it's me that wants to go!! so i've got to pay double
I really hope that the Wimbledon show is NOT sold out.I wanted to come from Denmark to watch that one.I am waiting for confirmation on Bobs concerts before I can book the tickets. It is to risky for me to book plane tickets before the concerts are confirmed on this homepage.God I hope Bob tours soon.
I found a gig in Wolverhampton (Bilston) but it was cancelled. Anymore? I'm holding fire with too many other plans I need to know
I think cancellations are our main worry at this moment. I almost bought some of those Wimbledon tickets, but those shows are not confirmed by Bob Geldof himself! I guess it's not a big deal for someone in the UK to get their money back, but it gets more complicated the further away you come from.
how do you no that they haven't been confirmed by geldof. ooh plus the wimbledon tickets are already sold out
I know because they haven't been listed here yet. As for the Wimbledon tickets, they are not sold out, they merely stopped selling them. The ticketmaster guy wasn't too clear on the reason why, but my wild guess is it's probably linked to the fact that the gig is not confirmed yet...
This is so frustrating re. Wimbleton...I'm gonna start praying....
I have not booked any airfare or hotel. I hope we know by at least September. I think I can still get decent airfare and find a hotel if I know by then. I think I can get a refund on theatre tickets...hmmmmm, not sure though.
Keep us informed. I do look on the "TOUR" site each week.
We'll get a refund on the tix, should it be cancelled. And if you paid by card they'll probably put it straight back to your card so it won't be too complicated even if you are from overseas.
I just saw the 2005 tour dates...No Wimbleton Theatre venue on the tour so far...
Anybody have any news if the show is not going to happen? They are still selling the tickets on ebay!
I'll try to get a hold of A-1 tickets and find out what the return policy is and also the theatre regarding if they have further news regarding Sir Bob appearing. Will get back to all...
Greetings!!!!....another US fan here, waiting to plan my trip to the UK depending on what happens..... I also got my tix through A1-tickets...... I would imagine that the refund would have to come from them, since the theatre would not have our credit card info. Still praying that maybe the Wimbledon date will be confirmed... Don't have much hope, but....... Will also let all know, should I hear anything.
