GELDOF SOLO PROJECT - BOB & PETE REQUEST YOUR HELP
We have been asked by Bob & Pete if we could supervise an assorted collection of Geldof solo memorabilia. Have you ever been to a gig and nicked the tour poster from the venue? Do you have an inlatable cucumber lying around in your house? Do you have any Geldof solo items, photos, back stage passes, flyers, posters, press ads, reviews, badges, record and album covers etc. etc. anything relating to Bob's solo work from Deep In The Heart of Nowhere onwards. We would like to hear from you if you have any of this stuff.
When we have collected as big an assortment as possible they will be sent to the record company for selection to be used on a new Geldof solo project. So if you think you can help, please email us a description of what you have to:
Please include a list of the enclosed items and your name and address so we can return your items to you. We will ensure they are looked after.
Bob has asked us if we can gather the relevant stuff very quickly so time is of the essence. We will need the items by early July. Thanks for your assistance. Remember we are looking for Geldof SOLO items, not Boomtown Rats.
I have all some records to hand (including the Collector's edition Photograph Pack for Love Like a Rocket!). 7" I Cry Too, and 12" World Calling, half a dozen CD singles and the albums.
Sadly all the rest of the stuff has long gone. May have some Q interviews, but they are in storage. Have a big issue interview (though that was on the Rats re-releases), an ES interview of lighting up London, and some more recent stuff.
having been a fan and keen follower of most things Bob since 1990, I'm sure I could contribute some bits and pieces.
However, I'm not to keen to part with them permanently... So: Would there be a chance of getting those things returned? - - - Sorry, I retreat my question... Working in a record company myself, I just remember those promises of returning sent items... hm-hm... :(
So, NOT knowing what exactly this project is about makes me hesitate...
Say, if I knew Bob and Pete were looking for fun pix to be included in a DVD's photo section, I might be happy to help. On the other side, if they're merely looking for some pix to decorate a background for a photo shoot with "MY" pictures ending up at Bob's ankles and feet, I'm not too sure I could be asked to take a deeeeeep dive into my huge box of photos...
Any chance of getting some further information as to what this is about?
