and I haven't even read the book yet does anyone know if this series is going to be shown elsewhere? say... in Sweden! oh well...think I'd better go buy the book now, show that I'm a "true fan"
1st posting here, just wondering did anyone get to go to any of the signing for 'Geldof in Africa'? Cant believe I missed him signing on 17th June in Easons, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Have a signed copy of 'Is That It?' so cant really complain.
The critics are loving this series aren't they? There's another great review in The Sunday Times Culture supplement today.
Wish the press would show the same enthusiasm for the Live 8 concerts, but am putting the negativity down to the need to get a meatier story (As if the story as it is isn't enough......). So we have this situation where in one part of the same paper the writers are hanging onto every Geldof word, while in another they're dredging up the choice of artists to play Live 8, disenfranchised former Rats, Damon whats-his-face from Gorillaz, and even Ultravox not getting playing in front of Princess Diana at the original gig. I know the press are fickle but.......?!*@!!
Oh and the book's selling at a great price on amazon.co.uk. Can't remember exactly how much but less than a tenner.
I am sorry that Saint Bob does not understand Africa. When he was performing he should have tried Harare. 10 years ago it bounce with clubs music and groups. Has he ever heard of Andy Brown Thomas Maphumo. If he is so interested in Africa why does he not understand Africa. I have worked ther and have friends WHO ARE BLACK.
I can solve the problem with two bullets. One for TIM and one for Chirac and the CAP. Then maybe Zimbabwe farmers could produce and sell without traiffs and dictatorship.
