Me and my best friend are soooo amazed and inspired by Sir Bob Geldof's brilliant passionate lyrics and different songs, ranging from the boomtown rats, to his solo career. We are so much inspired by his outstanding attempt to 'make poverty history' we are interested in helping out ourselves, and getting into a band to alert people of Bob's work and talent including povert in africa. We are looking foward to helping, and looking foward to a reply from the man himself.
Please reply on what you think about this idea! Thank you very much!
Who else is inspired so much like us, by his talent to start a m,oney raising sceme and to inform the public?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
yes, we all like Bob here well...90 % of us anyway...
anyhow, great that you feel inspired by the Live 8 spirit let's just hope millions more will feel the same way, not just on saturday....were you looking for ideas on how to support the cause? I would start by going to makepovertyhistory.org, that's a very good site, very informative, and you can find some really good links, and tips on how you can help..
however, I wouldn't get my hopes up on Bob actually replying, that....I'm afraid...probably won't happen anytime soon, not on the forum anyway..he doesn't spend too much time here
bob is really inspiring, with everything he has done he truly deserves our appreciation...lets hope that the live 8 concerts do arouse more interest from people of all ages and we can change the world
yes you have some people who are as interested about Africa, just as you are. We are in Nigeria, some of us are from the UK but all of us stay in Nigeira. Since you are really interested in Africa, we will like to work with you. MY ADVICE TO YOU IS TO TEST US FIRST BEFORE ANY JUDGEMENTS! We are a group of highly skilled men that have been creating awareness about the rights of the black man locally. We have issues that we will like to make public and we need help from interested people, so that we can appear internatinally. I hope that we can work together to achieve something here b4 the G8 summit. My email is i_michael2005@yahoo.com so email me and tell me what we can do together. We are performers but still undergreound but we are very popular where we stay because we have been fighting for the rights of the black man. Let me give an example of how people can contribute ot Africa without any troubles; 1. Top pop, hip-hop, R&B musicians can sing with Africans and make the music top the charts in Amreica, and use the funds they generate from it and send them to Africa directly. All the musicians in America and UK can decide to start a project ON THIS!!!!
I personally have been dreaming of making Dr. Dre come and release his next album in Nigeria and show the world that he is greener than all of them in the music industry the usual competition).
In our group we have professional musicians tha twill only release thei album when they have the oppourtunity to go to America or london. So let us try and create this new network for Africans (AND HELP MAKE POVERTY A HISTORY).
