Tell me why I dont like Geldof

He's not trying to pass as a good guy, he is a good guy. Imagine the idea of anarchy, no rule, no judgement, no order, no unity whatsoever. A man who believes in morality of life doesn't believe in more pain and suffering. Is that so off the mark?

Aids has only worsened because the population has grown, and it spreads. It's not something that can just stop. It has grown in every part of the world, not just African nations. The situation will change. We will make poverty history, and from there, all aspects of life will get better. This is of course based upon the actions of the members of the G8 summit. The idea for Live 8 was for people to raise their voices to let Bush, Blair, Putin, etc. all know that we want change. If they don't give change and cancel debt, then you will be right.

But if that is the case, millions (perhaps billions) of people will be rather pissed off about it. And it was not necessarily "the rich" who were doing these things. Sure we all have our fair share of money, but does that make us as rich as a wall street investor or corporate hot-shot? No. The ones who have less money are the ones who give a damn, and when that is the majority of a nation - and the world - then how could you possibly say that we don't care about it? That we don't want to help it?

I'm no businessman, so I don't expect a single tangible thing to come out of aiding starving nations. What you have is a moral obligation, and what you'll receive is a powerful feeling. Imagine saving the life of a child. If that does not inspire you, then you are only helping the problem that you're complaining about.

You spelled Iraq wrong...but we killed thousands of people not so because average Joe American doesn't care or want it to happen, but because our audacious militaries make mistakes. I don't support the Iraq war. I don't get any money. My vote (because I'm too young, and also because I would have voted for a man with a brain) did not go to someone who made a mistake based on money. Our economy is falling. American civialians are losing money. Just because "the man" doesn't care about children, it doesn't mean that a strong and large group of people agree with murder, war, or profiteering either subsequently from or directly in it.

He is a victim of the media, but only in the sense that today's media needs to make a point and take a side, andits usually the wrong one.

Okay.. I'm not a fan.. actually I've been fairly indifferent until his recent efforts politically- and I decided to join to get a better idea of him, his idealogy, what he inspires in people and why they relate to him. There are so many contradictions that come into play with events like liveg8.. and I've been trying to rationalise and understand them [humans are complex beings].. all in all it really seems to have the potential to turn poverty around.. [in those countries] but it also exposed the real hierchial structure of both east and west cultures.

It doesn't seem that simple to me. Usually.. when someone's child dies they have an immediate instinct to replace it.. be it aids or poverty the population is just frantically trying to replace itself. Aids.. well if some missionaries and governments abroard [and popes] didn't condemn the use of condoms and educated them about actually protecting themselves.. it might slow. Thing is.. many of the aid agencies are church based and will still impose this morality even though it's dangerous to the people they're trying to help [no I'm not putting all aid agencies in the same basket]. Another problem [apparently] is that people are reluctent to actually get tested [what you don't know can't hurt you'] ..and there is still this sick myth that screwing virgins [children] will cure aids.. thats one reason there is a demand for child sex.. the main being spoilt westerners going on 'sex holidays' [makes me furious]. Hopefully eleviating some of poverty will give the powers that be [whatever that means] a chance to really address the aids problem.. and the others that go with it.

Sticks and stones. So if you dont like Bob what the hell are you here for anyway? And this small penis thing. how would you know if he had a small penis unless you went there yourself personally. I dont think he has a small penis. lol.....But I will say this if you cant say something nice about someone than dont say anything at all. and dont start with me either small penis. Bob is PERFECT...Be happy.

And for the person who said they "hate" him thats the trouble with the world all this hate....Hey, how can you say you hate someone you dont even know? and if you do know him thats very sad that you have to hate period. you should feel ashamed yourself for saying this.
