Hi Everyone! Your help is needed. RTE are having a public vote as to who are the greatest people in Ireland. The top 5 will feature in brand new hour long documentaries. Please see the following links for details and VOTE for Bob!

This list is a joke is it?  It's not April 1 is it?  How the fcuk do any of these make the top 40?   I'd like to nominate Dermot Morgan and Dave Allen.  They at least were supposed to make us laugh smile.gif

I suspect Geldof may be the only living Irishman to make the list (though I suppose Nobo could make it if it's a public vote).  Oscar Wilde will be turning in his grave if any of these jokers make it ahead of him ....

6. Joe Dolan (1939 - 2007)
Singer and Entertainer

10. Stephen Gately (1976 - 2009)
Singer and Actor

19. Ronan Keating (1977)
Singer/Songwriter and Charity Campaigner

27. Daniel O'Donnell (1961)
Singer and entertainer

29. Michael O'Leary (1961)
Chief Executive of Ryanair

38. Louis Walsh (1952)
Music Manager and Judge on 'The X Factor'

It is because they asked the public in the first place that we have the likes of those you mention in the list. We can blame the kids for the likes of RK and LW and the grannies for DOD but who the hell named Michael O' Leary is beyond me!  Hence why we need to make sure Bob is top of the vote as I for one have no interest in documentaries for any of the people you listed!
