No Collaboration for Bob?

HI Just a quick post- I've always thought it interesting that Bob Geldof has never written songs with someone like Bono or Elvis Costello. I'd imagine writing songs with Bono would help to get publicity. In a way its good that he hasn't as he's standing on his own feet so to speak but the go- it -alone route doesn't seem to be getting much notice. By the way any completists the worst ever Geldof song was the one he did with Sting in the early nineties.Crazy to even think about it! How about Geldof and Bonos old Irish country favourites with Pete Briquette on the Jews harp. PS This is what passes for Irish homour for those in the colonies.

He did sing with Jools Holand, and also with Chrissie Hynde and David Gilmour recently.  He also did something with Midge Ure.

I don't think they should count as they were doing Geldof songs.  Well, OK Dustin did Walk This Way with Geldof, but it wasn't really that good (nor funny).

I was thinking in terms of a proper thought out album rather then a sing along but is that just what the world is waiting for, to quote the Stone Roses? Probably not!

Dustin is a skanger from the flats so should not mix with his betters from the posh suburbs and record with them and then say Geldof's solo work is "brutal". Dustin would look his best in some Bernard Matthews packaging at the bottom of a freezer- that would shut him up!!
