This will be fun, they absolutely hate each other. Hope they are not both on the same day.

Perfection would be Bob Saturday and muppet on the Sunday as I can only go on the Saturday but something tells me Bob will be on the Sunday as he will be the highlight of the weekend. Will be raging if that comes to pass (Please please please may Bob be only available for the Saturday!!!!!!!!!!). If last year is anything to go by times won't be released until a day or 2 max before. I've asked them on their FB page and on Twitter but they won't reveal what day as they want people to go for the full weekend. And just to tease me even more Hot Press have sent me an email with a list of participants and this image of Bob.

It is a public interview with I'm guessing Niall Stokes editor of Hot Press music magazine who run The Music Show. Still no mention of which day! I sent Hot Press an email requesting the information but they are saying nothing as yet. I live in hope.....

Why knock Louis Walsh when you know he's exploiting a ready teenage market- that's what people like him do- Its almost a waste of energy complaining. He's good at what he does.

I'm lucky to have been born at the right time to borrow Paul Simons phrase - growing up seeing The Boomtown Rats, XTC, Magazine,  Wire and The Stranglers on tv as opposed to Boyzone or Westlife- so I know which side my bread is buttered on.

I'm sure they have a secret respect for each other but who would win a fight between them!

I'm sure Geldof has said some choice words about LW but I don't really follow this sort of thing. My advise is if you don't want to watch rubbish third rate impersonators  on LW and Cowell's shows just watch the Discovery Channel or National Geographic tv or the History Channel .Why be bored when you could be stimulated?

Walsh doesn't like Posh Robert

That said he has a point about Daniel O'Donnell...

http://www.independent.ie/national-news/daniel-is-****e-geldof-has-no-talent-says-louis-walsh-134107.html

Prior to either of them becoming famous, my mum saw Daniel O'Donnell on the same stage I first saw Jarvis ****er in Highbury! (My mum loves Daniel O'Donnell, so I can't say too much bad about the gay mammy's boy!)

You lucky things, if you are going. Bob will have his guitar to hand, some songs expected.

2 pm  - Whats the world coming to with these early kickoffs. First they're ruining the football and now they're infiltrating the music world!

Unfortunately can't go. It would be interesting if Bob performs some of his new songs. For me the political side is worthy but dull so I'll wait for a "proper" concert with the music to the fore.

Another great photo Scottie, thanks to"the Beep"BP Fallon for that. BP must be Ireland's oldest hippy and he is a genuine music fan. He had his own radio show in Ireland in the eighties playing all sorts of  eclectic music when radio employed people who actually liked music rather than the sound of their own voices.

Geldof looks older but still retains that glint of someone with something to say.

BP lived in NY the last I heard and owned a rather dubious night club there. Maybe he has still got a home in ireland too

I don't know him personally but he always came across as a very decent guy basically obsessed by music. I think he was running  some sort of alternative music disco type thingy in NYC. I'm sure he's got friends in high places and he could always get the "lend of a fiver and the smoke of a cigarette" as JP Donleavy might say.

PS I think BP Fallon legendarily claims to have played the spoons of one of the Beatles tracks. He did some great radio interviews with BG whom he called, affectionately, Bobsypoo.

I was devastated to miss this but I know in a few months it will all be documented in Hot Press and on their website. I had a brilliant time in Poland though so it wasn't all bad. At least I had met Bob before.
