Hot off the presses. Pete Briquette has stated that he thinks its very unlikely for there to be a Rats reunion there are too many disputes between the personnel in the band.
He says he'd love to for sentimental reasons but who would want to see a bunch of middle aged old guys on stage!
Various sources for this story- Just google" Pete Briquette Rats reunion".
I'm not holding my breath on this subject but there are loads of "middle aged " bands and isn't Pete in one himself with Bob. Its like saying who would go to see U2 or David Bowie or Radiohead if its about age! Or even Oasis.
Its just sad that a really great band ends up like this. The Boomtown Rats must be one of the few major bands that have never played together again but naturally us mere fans are never privy to the internal dynamics and psychological power-plays of the lads themselves.
I know in advance Pete will have done a great job as usual on Bobs album and sure inn't Gary playing guitar on it too!
