Is it his looks? his charm? his dress sense? his eyes? his smile? his intelligence? his voice? his music? his compassion? his attitude? his personality? his political activism? his ideals? his ideas? his impetus in ending world poverty?
For me everything follows Geldof with the Boomtown Rats. I love his voice as a singer for some strange reason it has always appealed to me.
I love the cynicism in the Rats music which to me accurately portrays life. This "feel " in the music obviously is part of Geldof's personality which has struck a chord with me. They say like attracts like!
Geldof once said he was a depressive who has to keep busy otherwise he will become down and start to ruminate. I suppose its an emotional kinship with a personality type. Hes not Robbie Williams you know.
I also like his abililty to break rules - all this stems from originally being a rock star and not having to get the train to some dreary job and wear a suit and talk corporate nonsense all day.
I admire his work for Third World aid but honestly I don't follow the ins and out of it- I find Geldof as a musician most interesting.
I love his spirit, i love his voice and his music.
I love his passion, i love his bravery and his courage.
I would like to be like this but find myself scared as a mouse.
Sometimes I roar like a lion and other times feel so pathetic and sort of squeak in a scared fashion.
I sometimes wonder as I do about famous people how far removed they must feel/be from the people.
I would like to take part in a movement for change, for a fairer and better society. I find Bob inspirational but its a tough act to follow.
Sometimes I imagine bob walking down the road in Brixton for example, is this something he would ever do? wonder if this is a scary thought for him? as scary as being famous and the talk of the town would be for me.

hmmmm
Not for me to give advise but here goes anyway.....
Identify a causeyou really want to help with rather than being vague about wanting a better society. Most organisations are crying out for help of various kinds and with the Internet its easier to find like minded people who in some way want to change the world. Being focused on one area of interest and specialising in that is the best way to go. I'd imagine that no matter which area you wish to help in there are other people who feel the same way too.
If you've heard the Geldof song Out of Order he mentions Brixton and the Brixton Fridge nightclub.
All of it, and no i can't put it in order of importance.
I so agree with the above. Bob - Sir Bob has meanwhile received honors he should have received long ago, and yet, despite all he has been through - or perhaps precisely because of his life so far, he has remained earthed and is unafraid to utter his opinion, even if this means that he is not always 'everybody's darling'. No need to be, for his fans love him for being authentic.
Come to that, he seems to have a very happy private life and so deserves this. Whenever I read funny comments about the woman in his life, I feel that beautiful Jeanne Marine deserves better credit than what she gets. I am pretty sure that she is the one to protect Bob's back and helps him bring out the strength inside himself. She is very attractive and most certainly anything but dull - if she keeps out of the spotlight, this is just her modest way of making way for him.
True love, no matter whether the two of them are married or not, they just seem to be one perfect unit and have made a symbiosis that remains unequalled.
