NOTICE - THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL GELDOF FORUM
Permalink

Some think it is, but it ain't.  It is independent.  If you think the stupid mugs they are trying to flog on the Geldof website are ****e, you are free to say that here.  Or anything else for that matter.  Read the rules, reasonably adhere to them and write freely.  Getting REALLY fed up that this forum is in anyway associated with them.  If it was it wouldn't be here.

I have edited my post. An oversight. Everyone makes mistakes.
I have never spoken to anyone who thinks this is official.

What does 'official' mean anyway?? IS there an 'official' forum??

Does it really matter whether it is official or not?

what difference does it make?

It isn't run by Bob or his management team.  No it doesn't matter.  You get to meet lots of good people and chat about Bob, the Rats the music and all kinds of things.biggrin

Shame about the mugs, how did you manage that, Ian?  £12.50 was a bit expensive for a mug for me though, even a Bob one.

It makes none.

The thing is that a few years ago the management got a bit upset with a few things that were on this forum, so disassociated themselves.   Which is fine.

I just want to make it clear this forum has nothing to do with them, even if some forum members undertake a lot of good promotional effort on their behalf.

On Bob's behalf. And he appreciates it. He has thanked those concerned personally.

I have been a member of this forum for more years than I care to remember and I have always enjoyed the banter.  I dont think I ever took my ball away.

With regard to Geldof mugs - are you sitting comfortably - the we will begin.
The snow was falling, the ice was glistening, the courier arrived, I excitedly ran down to meet him and sign for the parcel.  Then brought the box into the house, I have always been a bit of a clown, Mr. Clumsy is my middle name, and I have to admit I was wearing the clown boots at the time (yes the courier did give me a funny look).

Well I put the box down in the sitting room, and went to get the scissors to open it with, when the bloody rug caught in my boots, over I went, and so did the box. Tina's eyes went a sort of firery red, and the language was a bit ripe.

She then took the scissors off me, in case I stabbed myself (which she sometimes wishes I would, especially at times like this), and opened the box.  All of them, yes every last one was broken in some way or another.  Ho Hum, another day in the life of Billy Buttons.

The price of mugs, well, what can you say, I agree.  It is a little expensive, but thats because we only order a small quantity, and the price included postage and packaging.

Jules if you look at mugs brought over the net, you will see its about right.

No, you haven't.  And it's always good to see your posts.

I know these personalised mugs are expensive.  The Arsenal dressing room one is about £11.    I don't need any these days since the local scouts (aka my son and his mates) had me buy a few at 50p each.   And that's in addition to all the Laser Mayhem ones he brings home (they get one for each trip).

All stalkers can order their own personalised Geldof mugs with their avatars here. smile

Maybe these mugs could be used for drinking Ovaltine, while listening to Bob sings The New Routine from SAD. Get it?
