Kate Bush is supposed to release her first album after twelve years. It's supposed to be called Aerial and will be out in early November.
I don't know the last album (released early nineties) but I know and love all the other albums. Especially "The kick inside" and "The Dreaming" were and still are very special albums for me. I'm looking forward to that new album, I wonder if she'll be able to meet the expectations.
Does anyone of you (probably you "older" guys here) have an opinion on her music? I guess she's one of those singer/ songwriters which people either love or hate!
she was on totp last week.it wasnt live it was an archive clip.shes ok but she doesn't really get me excited.i find her music tends to drag.iv heard a few of her songs as iv taken to watching totp2 and the music channels and i have to say she does nothing for me
I really loved Kate Bush's music and am looking forward to hearing a new album from her. She was always quite unique and extremely talented. I wonder what 12 years away from music has done for her. Interesting.

Possibly the greatest female singer/songwriter/performer ever! And incredibly beautiful to boot! Can be quite challenging to listen to but never anything less than interesting. Only the late Kirsty MacColl would compare in my eyes (but she wasn't quite as good a looker!).
ArrGee, we agree on something here! We don't just have the Rats in common then, musically
Mmm, you know my musical taste is very wide. Once upon a time on the old board I did a chronological list of bands/acts I liked and you pretty much agreed. I start at Chuck Berry all the way through to Franz Ferdinand, but in general, if they have a guitar or two and can provide a melody it generally works for me!
Only times I didn't like were the electronic eighties. Sadly, the age when I should have been into music.
I love Franz Ferdinand. Unfortunately i don't remember your post on the other board. The 80's thing is where we lose it and Oasis/Pulp etc, otherwise... yeah we probably are similar.
However, I think the Kate Bush thing was purely lust! http://www.perfectpeople.net/picpage.php3/cpid=80041
i really don't see why everyone likes kate bush so much.i mean her musics good but i dont find it anything spectacular.is there anywhere i can here some more of her stuff.maybe it can change my mind

I'm surprised to see you both like Kate Bush, Jules and ArrGee! In fact, I hardly know anybody who likes (well, liked) her. That's maybe because, as with so many bands, eg The Rats, I only started listening to her records after her biggest success. (Sometimes I thought I was simply born ten years late!)
I remember that when I first listened to "The kick inside", I realized that Kate had written these beautiful songs and was younger than I was. Some of the songs on that album she wrote at the age of 16! Amazing.
Talking of pure lust (lol) - what do you all think about Björk?
ArrGee neither do I like her music!! It's rather bizarre, but not in an appealing kind of way. Her voice is irritating too. Have you seen the weird videos too?
I think that Björk is interresting. I dont listen to her music that often, but she has a very unic voice. But I have to be in a very special mood to listen to her, because she is so special. I like some of her clothes thoug Very cool
