Not many programmes left that Bob hasn't appeared on these last couple of months!
Yes he seems to have been on loads of shows on tv and radio lately. One good thing about the Internet is that it acts as a one stop shop for all Geldof interviews be it Sweedish tv or Aussie radio or whatever.
In the old days most of these interviews would have been seen in the country where they were originally broadcast. Now we can catch up with so many of them and at the click of a button. If anything I seem to have consumed too many, leaving me with a case of too many Geldof interviews syndrome.
As a fan I feel sometimes a bit of detatchment is good. I listened to Shes A Lover a few days ago and though it was a really good song- the lyrics in particular and thought it could have been on Sex Age Death. The fact that I hadn't listened to a Geldof interview for a while allowed the song to breathe as it were, unencumbered by any intellectual Geldof debate about politics or even music.
I suppose my basic point is that less is sometimes more.
Saw this interview and it was very good - quite moving in places, I do feel very sorry for him sometimes. Though quite lighthearted in other ways - particularly the numerous 'knob' references!!!
