Each of the colours listed features in official Rats' lyrics. Repeat references to any given colour in the same song aren't counted. Simply list the songs containing the colour.
No prizes, just the fun of few minutes/hours/days trying to place them. Good luck. Up to you if you want to try it without recourse to lyric sheets.

WHITE (couldn't find a way of putting dark background in
Trying to get around to doing this but got caught up in the riots ie watching em on tv!
Croydon burned down, Palace matches postponed- Is the world coming to an end? As usual your quiz took some lateral thinking (or lateral drinking) to come up with, but it's very clever.

Superb effort there, especially if from memory only. I reckon you've accounted for the ones below, and that includes an extra 'black' in Little Death I'd missed, so total now 44 shades. Couldn't spot 'white' in House on Fire though (I may be wrong).
Will leave for a bit to let you/others attempt before I add any clues. All I'll say is relatively few tracks account for remainder.
The white reference is from the third album verse of House On Fire ' I saw a raw white angel executing loop de loops in the sky....'. Also Sleep 'White things , white things for me'.
There is a blue reference in Arnold Lane 'On a wall hung a tall mirror/ distored view/ see through baby blue......'
I'm stumped for the second yellow reference.Yellow is such a standout colour it should be obvious but its not coming to me!
Sorry, clearly you had 'white' from Sleep on original response and I just failed to transcribe it. Apologies also for my omission of 'white' in House on Fire. That's what comes of scanning CD reissue lyrics only which fail to list 3rd verse. Epic fail as the yoof might say. Guess the Arnold Layne entry is valid too, but again not one I'd expected. Will be nearer '60 shades of' soon...
Will let you stew a little on remaining 'yellow' and the other missing ones. Let me know if you need any clues, unless someone else dives in and answers first obviously.

Is the missing yellow answer from `do the rat`(your teeth are yellow and your hair is grey)
If not im stumped too!!
Well done Do The Rat for getting the second yellow. Does the blue of My Blues Away count- I know one is a colour and one an emotional state but I'm grasping at straws otherwise.
Just got a missing red in Barefootin' -' Hey little girl with your red dress on/I bet you can barefoot all night long.....'
Braun is the German for Brown if that counts for the missing brown. Check online translation dictionaries if you don't believe me!

Well done on the Barefootin' 'red'. Revised list for incompletes below.
Clues for now are, dig out your singles and play those B sides. One song accounts for 4 of list, although lyrics are fairly impenetrable. Another B side, already mentioned, yields one more.
One of the 'red' you'll kick yourself for, particularly as you got the 'blue' it's paired with in first stab. Maybe you just forgot to list it??
And talking of red and blue (great combo for a football kit imho), think laterallly about which Rats song sums up Palace current fortunes and that will provide another two.
Finally, did consider, then ignore Blues Away so wasn't counting that I'm afraid. Also thought about Braun, but again discounted; Brown does feature amongst the 4 on same song
A missing black and brown from Late Last Night- " Swirl a stick around my head/ its always black and brown....."
I have the Surfacing reissue in which those lyics are printed, though I'm quoting from memory so the the lines I gave you may be a little mixed up but its definitely a missing black and brown.
Is there another pink reference? Can't imagine how the word pink would get into a Rats song. May need a cryptic clue for that.
Missing red is Don't Believe What You Read. Reason why I didn't get it was with so many different lyrics to get through I mentally saw red as "read "as in, if its read its blue but that's what happens when I had so much other stuff to work on. That's what happens when you mentally process the clues while doing other things. BTW Charles Dickens wrote a novel called Hard Times, a Rats/Dickens connection!
There is another blue in Late Last Night " There's a neon strip of icy blue/ that's shining in the hall...."
Officially waving the white flag of surrender for the remaining clues. I'll let somebody else get the last ones.
There may be other missing colours in songs like Its All The Rage because the lyrics are hard to figure out. If anybody has or can figure out the lyrics for Man At The Top it would be great to see them as a lot of the song for me is not too clear. Maybe Geldof decided to mumble over words that he knew were about him, though open to wider interpretation!
