PS Jules congratulations for upholding the memory of this fantistic band for so long.
Is this footage actually from TOPT as the song is sung live while TOTP was usually mimed in front of an audience of musical zombies? I'll check if it is TOTP or some other show.
UPDATE- The video is actually from the Marc Bolan show in August 1977. It appeared on the Boomtown Rats on film dvd. Sensibly somebody has worked out how to eliminate the dancing girls which took up most of the field of vision and detracted from the band and the song. I have uploaded the "dancing girls" version also for those who may not have seen it and ahem, may be interested in these sorts of things.
Thanks for looking that up Noel. I knew it wasn't TOTP for the very reason it wasn't mimed. That original recording didn't appear my research, but if anyone can find it I'd love to see it again.
I searched for the original TOPT recordings but the are nowher to be found on the Internet. TOPT had their own minisite which showed 30 second clips from various artists including the Rats but I cant remember Looking After NO featuring on it.
I've seen so much Rats material I get a lot of it mixed up, and cannot remember if I've seen No 1 on TOPT, It has to be in the archives-I've seen illegal sites offering it as a video download but these sites tend to be invitations to having your computer attacked by all sorts of virises,
Heres to anothe 34 years of listening to the best band ever!
