Have put up a post. Eddy and Roberta are coming over, so hopefully they will come. Have to have  a birthday drink, since it is Derek's and Roberta's birthday on the day. And it was mine last week.

No.  There aren't any.  Try Cadogan Arms in Kings Road.

I was trying to delete a post that was a bit trivial and not worth posting (with the benefit of hindsight) but couldn't think how to do this so had to resort to deleting post and pressing send! It is Monday after all.

PS Why don't you do the whole BG British tour and heckle Bob and shout out for old forgotten Rats songs? Why don't I do that?

There's an idea.  Not sure I'd be too welcome if I did go.  Probably get thrown out!

If Geldof has a "Fcuk ArrGee" t-shirt let me know.

ArrGee,

Just out of idle curiosity, as you are so vehemently anti-Geldof (post Rats at least) why did you settle on chosen user name?

I am of course making the huge assumption that the 'RG' actually refers to our hero. Even if it doesn't, it's a likely inference, and one that suggests you're a fan of the man.

Feel free to tell me mind me own smile

ArrGee actually stands for Real Gooner.  Though Scottie may have been more accurate smile (see below).

I'm not anti-Geldof.  I'm not a fan of his post-Rats musical career but a few things happened a few years ago regarding this forum that led to his tour manager calling me a knobhead.

Among my sins were saying merchandise was overpriced, critcising cancelled concerts and calling the site nogeldof.info.   I was indirectly accused of selling stories to the press (I never did, and the so-called story never appeared in the press) and somehow orchestrating the Milan debacle (again not guilty)!  They also got very upset that the forum was taken so seriously that they were questioned about things at concerts.

All water under the bridge now, but as a result I'm not particularly interested in going to see Geldof, and there is some negativity which previously didn't exist.

I reserve the right to change my mind on that should he ever decide to tour with the Rats.

So when I read the Morrissey article it made me laugh.

If you care, the whole ArrGee story...

I am really gorgeous, but that's not why I'm ArrGee.....

ArrGee is open to numerous interpretations! Coincidentally it is R.G as in Robert Geldof, but originally it comes from the spanish Real (Royal) like Real Madrid, and Gooner (as is Gunner), so Royal Gunner if you like!!!  And that relates to the football team I support who once upon a time were known as Royal Arsenal.  It originally started as a wind up to some rival supporters, but has stuck with me, and it's what people call me. So ArrGee is my "real" name!

I am now.  Only thing is will probably only just get there in time for the show as I have to go home to get tickets before heading off to venue.

The theatre does not open till 6.30, when the bar opens. Happy Fan Club Eddy and his wife will be there. Met them last night. And thanks Suss for giving me a lift back to my hotel . Did not fancy walking through Croydon.

No problem at all Scottie. I never fancy walking through Croydon in daylight on way to work.

I've arranged to meet ArrGee at venue at 7.30, but if I'm early will seek out familiar faces in the bar from 6.30.

Regards,

Almost converted....
