Birthday salute to the bankers?

Not sure if this has been  covered before but only for the Irish bankers initially refusing to give a loan for Geldof's Buy and Sell magazine in Dublin back in 1976/77 we would never have had The Boomtown Rats and subsequently Geldof would never have gone on the do Live Aid and all his work with Anti Poverty causes later. Geldof would never have become a famous music icon and well known personality.

Perhaps if the magazine had been successful he may have become a prominent businessman, but that can never be known. So Bobs whole career can be traced to a connection to Irish bankers who refused him a loan, Geldof indignantly saying that the bankers told him to come back 'when he was forty', and not a callow youth.

So maybe Bob can raise a glass to those bankers and thank them for their wisdom? Sometimes rejection can turn out for the best!
