One that got away!

For those who were too poor to buy the proper albums back in the seventies there were generic compilaton albums which covered all the current hits.Solid Gold top hits!

The guys and gals covering these songs had the uncanny knack of sucking the life and soul out of the proper versions, making them so anemic and lifeless than the become almost kitsch collectors items, or may have been played at Quallude parties (See movie American Beauty)

This one has Diamond Smiles but it has not been uploaded so we do not know how it sounds (Waiting for the joker to say it probably sounds better)

Even the model on the cover seems to be under the Mogadon influence of the music, but it is interesting that they covered a Rats song. I'm presuming that other Rats songs were covered as well.

This cheap rate version of Eton Rifles gives an idea of the sound
