is it bob being cagey or down to lack of imagination of the interviewer?
(yawn) if i've heard it once i've heard it a flippin hundred times........
bob being reticent, shy, reserved,? what?
hmmmmm
maybe its none of my business anyway....... lol..... it probably isn't in fact...... but i would be interested in his views and thoughts on stuff, life, politics, philosophy etcetra etcetra, blokes got a bloomin degree or phd in economics or summat like that, i mean so what does he think about the economy then?

I think he is cagey. In days of yore, each and every interview would differ, but a lot of the time it was used against Geldof to show his inconsistency.
I also think that he has no need to be controversial in interviews as many are merely promotions for forthcoming shows and he is following the script to get bums on seats.
I agree most interviews are samey and dull. There was a good one in Hot Press recently
Have both read and listened to hundreds of interviews over the years and I find the worst thing is lazy interviewers who ask boring predicable questions, which invite Geldof to rehash his well worn story.
Granted an average tv or radio audience most likely will not be that in tune with Geldof's latest antics or beliefs.
Good intervieertd for me include Danny Baker (maybe he could get Bob to play the Sausage Sandwich Game on Saturday mornings, or Johnathan Ross, who can ask great offbeat questions.
Graham Norton can be quite good too, with the cheeky questions.

I really dislike Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton interviews as they are mostly about them.
Danny Baker is very good. He had Steve Coogan on the other day and the interviews, if you can call them that, are far more insightful.

I reckon Geldof has red sauce.
That Steve Coogan/ Alan Partridge 'autobiography' piece sounded hilarious.
Said he was now working for North Norfolk Digital Radio! How the might are fallen.
Maybe Alan Partridge might ask Bob some interesting questions

pah! Get Richard Madeley to do it. He's the real deal..,
So it's hug a cow, not a hoodie. Shall have to watch some RM on YouTube just for a laugh. I'm trying to imagine Alan introducing a Boomtown Rats record for his adoring listeners.

"OK, imagine I'm a secuity guard at a department store" and started shouting, "I see you, Geldof!"
