Hey Tina, whats going on? It takes alot of arranging on our part to get to gigs. E.G. Time off work, baby sitters, transport, hotels, money. All for what, to be told the gig is cancelled. We spent months waiting for gigs to be anounced. We have tickets for leicester will that also be cancelled. Kaz
I agree Kaz, it's taking a bit of shunting things around to get there. Then it gets cancelled, then you have shunt things around again. These gigs took priority for me, and I held back on other things to get these in. I don't know whether to be angry because I don't know what the unforeseen circumstances are. If I knew that it may help?
I enjoyed the Cardiff gig so much I was going to go to Bristol too. Very disappointed it's cancelled but at least I was lucky enough to see him once. Sympathies to those who'll miss out.
There weren't many at Cardiff so I suspect the shows are cancelled due to low sales. Maybe if there were some sort of advertising for this tour this wouldn't have been a problem. Nobody I spoke to about the Cardiff gig even knew he was there.
I asked my sister if she'd seen any advertising for the London gig, given she works in the same borough and is there on a daily basis. She only knew of it because I'd mentioned it!

There have been two ads in Time Out, and it has been announced in the listings there for a while. Oddly though it isn't listed with the other Shepherd's Bush gigs (they have their own ad featuring Blondie, Stranglers and ahem Chas 'n' Dave and Shaky Stevens). But there are often tickets available no matter who plays, all they do is sell more and more levels. At the very worst, I'd expect Geldof to sell out the stalls, and probably a bit of level one. Will probably have an interview in the Standard a few days before to boost sales.
The Peterborough concert wasnt sold out and you could see some empty seats about. In the Evening Standard tonight a page length interview with Bob and at the bottom it advertises the London gig so hope some more tickets are sold for those of you going. Hope you have a great time
a) Hypothetical: Row A is right in front of BG, row Z is back near the entrance to the auditorium. The whole room is built on a slight incline so that the people in the back have better sightlines. Is row Z in the "tiered" stalls?
b) Second hypothetical: You have to take a flight of stairs to get to your seats, which are up above what I'll sloppily call the "main" floor area. Are those "tiered stalls" or something else?
WTF????!! is this telling me that i've been missing gigs? especially in peterborough?? what the hell? i never saw this on .info ?!?! i'm confused and angry. whats this about all these gigs!?? someone calm me down please, i think i'm gonna scream/cry!! i didn't see anyting on the forum!!
Cazzy, this is an old post. Bob hasn't been near Peterborough since then. He's had gigs planned abroad, a few of which have gone ahead the rest have been cancelled.
also i'm on the uk mailing list shouldn't i have been told?! i've been waiting for so long to get to another gig of his peterborough would have been the only one i could have managed ='[
