Good interview Laibach, particularly the last ten minutes and some really good quotes eg 'Jesus was a failed carpenter'. Like the image of Geldof spending the odd Friday night alone in Canterbury Cathedral listening to the choir.

His views on religion, or more particularly the Catholic version are still the same as in the Rats song Nice and Neat which I listened to recently, so there hasn't been any St Paul like conversion in recent years.

One of Geldof' s great lines with a religious flavour is from the song One Of The Girls when Geldof sings 'I'm on the Via Dolorosa every day', the Via Delorosa being the  route of the Crucifixion- the song was written after the death of Paula Yates if I'm not mistaken, but it's just one of those song lines that stood out for me.

That song was Little Miss Jesus which was probably about Paula Yates. I did think it was funny when he was asked what would he do when he dies if it turns out God does exist and he has to stand before him, his reply was he would probably say thats a crap beard and complain that Heaven wasn't up to much, which he probably would and would no doubt throw the F word in a few times for good measure.

The 'Via Deloroso' reference is from The Original Miss Jesus and not One Of The Girls, so I'll admit getting that wrong. In recompense I have listened to both songs last night for the first time in a long time, and both songs although quite short, are better than some of the songs on Bob's 'new' album- but of course it's all down to ones own point of view.

Maybe Bob ,would start a band in heaven, complaining that all that harp music was rubbish, and needs a bit of livening up.
