As everyone know Bob hates email and has been shooting his mouth off about it in the last day or two. I came across this article:

by some idiot. 'Normally unopinionated' is that some attempt at sarcasm?? 'Rare public appearance' What??? 'And get a hair cut' actually he has.

I disagree with Bob over email and find it a very useful tool at work and at home. As in all written communciation, tone can be misconstrued. Why does he love texting so much, if he doesn't like email, it is similar - instant written communication. Only you can't say as much on a message, it costs every time you send one, or uses up a quota of messages. You can't send attachments in the way you can with email. It forces you to use silly text language because you can't fit in proper words!

I love e-mail too.


Really texting and e-mail ain't that different Bob!!!


I think it's good to keep in touch with friends and family and how you do that just isn't that important.


I love attaching photos. Even better when someone sends you some!

Ali G is a great show.  Hopefully more episodes will start airing soon. 


As for the article, wow Guy Matthews, give me a break.  Really, what's his problem with Bob?


I can see the email thing both ways.  Regarding long-distance communication, I believe that speaking over the phone is the most personal, then text messaging, and finally email.  At least text messages go right to the receiver's mobile, there's a better & sooner chance of the receiver picking up that message, and therefore that's more efficient than email.  People carry cell phones with them in more places than people carry computers around.


On the flip side, email is better than doing nothing at all...though it's so impersonal.  Less efficient as well b/c the sender has to go on the computer to send it at his/her convenience, then the receiver has to sit on his/her computer at his/her convenience, and a lot of time could pass before a solid agreement is confirmed between the two people.


And I don't think emails are the best way to 'take action,' either.  Again, better than nothing, but not as good as face-to-face, personal communication.
