You can see the Rats perform Up All Night on episode 4 of the dvd release of Three Of A Kind series 2. I can remember seeing this at the time but could never remember what the programme was, wouldn't have a clue how to put it on You Tube but I'm sure its only a matter of time until it turns up there.
The official release date of this DVD was February 2006, according to Amazon Uk so it's surprising that the Rats doing Up All Night from Three Of A kind has not appeared on YouTube. Maybe it's due to some copyright nonsense.
Series 2 is going for less than a tenner on Amazon, but I'll wait it out and hope it turns up on YouTube. Again it's really great that there are enough interesting performances by the Rats in the archives to keep any fan(atic) happy.
Laibach- a very easy method to post a video from Youtube is just copy, paste and send.
If you say, want to post a Rats video just highlight the address of the video by clicking on it, then press control and C.
Now place the cursor where you wish the video to appear, on the forum page. Now press Control V (the http address will now appear in highlighted colour. Last step is to submit post and then the video will appear.
I am far from being a techie but it should be fairly straightforward and it is good for illustrating points and the say a picture is worth a thousand words etc.
I think Laibach was referring to loading onto youtube. Not something I've tried in order to advise, but would imagine it's not overly tricky given the thousands of loads from people who can't all be techies.
I'm sure ArrGee or BTR or others could advise, but if not Google will have instructions, if not youtube site itself.
Don't recall the performance in question myself, so would be intrigued to see. Does beg question why it wasn't ever a single here if they were happy to plug on TV. Or maybe the show producer heard Charmed Lives and refused to let them play it for fear of his ratings .
Despite being an uber-techie, I have never uploaded a video anywhere. Nor a audio track. Honest, I really haven't. I'm not just writing that in case the law are reading in and see me as another Richard O'Dwyer.

Yes I just realised that later, I thought he meant to link the video to the forum page, presuming someone else might have already uploaded it to YouTube. Couldn't be too hard if the President of Syria can to it!
If I don't know something I just type in a very simple question to google and don't worry, someone else will have been in that position of ignorance before.
The performance was from December 1982, a good bit after Never In A Million Years and Charmed Lives had flopped, so it was unlikely the were going to play songs that were not hits from, in A Million Years case, a full year previously. I'd imagine the December 1982 market was clogged up by the usual Christmas nonsense, so any serious songs are always at a disadvantage.
The decision to not release Up All Night as a single may have been a costly mistake, as it is a very credible song, which would have enhanced the Rats street cred a bit, perhaps reigniting some semblance of interest in the general music fan population. There is an excellent live version from America in 1981 which sounds magnificant, steamed on the Wolfgang Vaults.
Infact the song was so 'old' that Gerry Cott is in the offical video, which would have been recorded, most likely, early in 1981

You wouldn't want to end up in 'the Bay' in one of those orange jumpsuits now, would you?
