Yes, that's right - I hear from me mates at Bondi FM (www.bondifm.com.au) that Bob's stoking and toking it up at the Byron Bay Blues Fest in... Byron Bay!  Down Under.  Interesting.

On air recently (we were talking about this the other day, lack of airplay) some young american and aus djs were discussing Mr B and what they thought of when they heard his name: They (DJs) also mentioned how much they enjoyed his role in "The Wall" to extent of watching the movie many many times.  Great time for people to hear his brilliance in music down here beyond "Mondays".  Hope you do some sex lies and death type stuff bobbie g.

Lovely time to be in Aus if anyone missed too much over the London and Bristol booking cancellation...   blue jewel water, bronze beaches and mermaids in Irish summer sun - Australian Autumn.  Now I may finally get to hear and see the man live in concert.  Only hope the conflict with me international sustainable poverty alleviation summit in US doesn't overlap - tks Bob.

You can book here.  But you guys already know this... http://www.bluesfest.com.au/

Hi Tash

Thanks for your message about saving your life earnings to make it to Byron Blues Fest.

I'm not management nor site admin, so I cannot answer your question about this concert being cancelled.  Only to say that it was announced again recently in Drum Media - the official music rag so his management would not likely be wasting money promoting a cancelled event.

He's still on the board for the gig.  Also check with the official blues fest site when you book your ticket and make sure - but you know you just can't stop them from cancelling if they choose not to play. (them being Bob type people).

Theres some other good talent there Aus and international so should be a good relaxing vibe for the time anyway.

Personally I'm looking forward to the thought of Bob heading to Byron with his didge, djembie and a little pouch full of philosophy, heading up the sacred mountain barefoot Mt Warning to greet the sunrise...

More than likely though, he'll fly in and out, do his thing, connect with his Aus fam and off again. C'est la vie de la nova roquette en bleue.

If you want confirmation here - maybe Arrgee or Rekomakavics are the ones who can answer your question or one of the other senior bob gurus.

Ciao, Xylpha
