wrong in my eyes. When someone however loosely sits on a political parties group, he or she will alienate themselves from those who have a different political slant. He should have stayed completely on the fence.

He's already done this with the Labour Party, now the Tories want a piece of the action, no doubt. Well if he gets some results within the party, good for him. I suspect they'll be voted in in the next election.

Did you see him on the BBC news this morning? He'll work with any party to get the right policies in action.

At times like this, I am reminded of the time in the 1980s when Margaret Thatcher, in a bid to win kudos with the older generation of Tories whom were finally beginning to mutter disquiet over her behaviour, said that she had been inspired by the monetarist ideas of Enoch Powell.

Powell's curt reply was, "Yes, but did she understand them?" That's how I feel about Cameron taking advice from Geldof.

Like Hilary Benn, the question needs to be asked is he really interested or is this all for show?

I'm sure it is all for show, new leader, new year, new tories etc. However, if they actually take anything on board from Bob, it can only be a good thing. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at some of the meetings

If they put a foot wrong, then Bob will drop them like a ton of bricks. If they are genuine, then I don't think the dying in Malawi or Ethiopia will be bothered two hoots if relief comes from the Tories, Labour, or the Monster Raving Loony Party. I personally think Cameron will be found out and this will backfire to his cost. I don't think this has reflected badly on Bob in the slightest.

You're right Irene, they are taking a huge risk. They must know what they are taking on with Bob. On the other hand he is an expert on the subject, they won't get better elsewhere and they know it. It can in no way reflect on Bob, he's just doing this as part of his campaign work. As I said I'd like to be a fly on the wall in some of the meetings.

despite the fact i despise the tories and cringe at the thought of bob working with them, i do think it is a very good way of getting the policies through for MPH. I was disgusted however at reading the daily express yesterday which just took the opportunity to slag off labour, geldof and teenagers.i was fuming
