Always happy to hear Diamond Smiles myself, and personally would welcome Europe Looked Ugly and/or Real Different. Ever played live?
Talking in Code is one track I found far more memorable live, to extent it went up in my estimation considerably. Wouldn't walk away from Skin on Skin either.
Agree with rest by and large though. Might add To the Bitter End (another na na na song) and, controversially(?), Normal People. Never quite got that one.

Oh I like them. Never heard either live. They should do them.
Would also be very happy to hear Diamond Smiles and Real Different (I love this song) and Mondays is inevitable and more than palatable. Agree with all the others on Arrgees list but some of them are more nightmarish than others, with the dreadful Charmed Lives and Little Death tracks topping such a list.
That is a highly unlikely setlist there ArrGee. It wouldn't be a nightmare for me, but I can think of better. The chances of them doing Charmed Lives are very low indeed. Another Piece of Red is so out of date and possibly wouldn't even be in good taste, given who Ian Smith swapped with.
Of course, this could be even worse should they decide to plunder the Geldof and the Gung~Ho back catalogue...

For me most of the songs ArrGee mentions are pretty good. A weak one is Whitehall I212 lack of lyrics make it hard to relate too. Shes Not The Best is about a minute long so isn't a proper song- maybe if it had been developed it would have turned out ok, if not good.Mondays is just hackneyed.
I like the Rats Arnold Lane. Always wonder what peoples problem with Walking Downtown is? I think it would be hard to do live, but as a recording it is pretty good.Same with Skin On Skin.
Europe Looked Ugly/Please Don't Go/ Don't Talk/Say Hi To Mick/Diamond Smiles/Real Different are all brilliant Rats tracks. If I was looking for some truly bad music and awful lyrics I'd stick on Franz ferdinand's second album.

Always found it interesting that You Could Have It So Much Better wasn't that appreciated. I think it is superb and if not quite the equal of their debut, it is definitely in my top ten albums of the century. It is very clever lyrically, and musically shows an incredible range that wasn't really expected from their first album. Reminds me of another band I like a lot. Tonight is almost as good again, just a shame they stuck Ulysses on it because otherwise it was perfect.

Eleanor/ You Could HAVE IT ARE THE ONLY SONGS I LIKED. I THOUGHT THE LYRICS WERE AWFUL, AND MOST OF THE SONGS MEANINGS ESCAPED ME. IT IS JUST SO HARD TO WORK OUT WHAT THE SONGS ARE ABOUT, AND MOSTOF THE TIME I FELT I DIDN'T REALLY CARE. The guy is KASABIAN WAS PRETTY SCATHING ABOUT FF and maybe he has a point.
pS HAVING PROBS WITH CAPITAL BUTTON HENCE UC/LC TYPE. WILL GET IT SORTED.

What are the songs about? Sex and drugs mainly. Like most good albums.
They na na na'd their way through Someone's Looking At You in a totally brilliant way and it only goes to show how na na na's can be extremely effective in the right way in the right song.
A crap concert would be it being cancelled.I don´t give a turd what they play that day as long as they beat the deamons out of themselves and us fans have a blast.

Can't countenance Fall Down or Never in a Million Years going on a nightmare list. In fact, what are Up or Down or I can make it doing anywhere near such a list Derek?!
I understand the remainder and Sleep I think is either loved or loathed - I love it.

None of the those are bad for me, and I Can Make It If You Can was played live a lot by the Rats in recent years. I'd love to hear Fall Down live, but suspect it will never happen.
My nightmare set Storm breaks, Charmed lives, Little death. Some of the other iffy song's I can live with. Another piece of red I would love to hear them play it live. So long Hong Kong and goodbye Gibraltar.
