Anyone recall this? Can't find anything on You Tube with Bob as a guest but pretty sure he appeared three times on this and that it ran from '81 to 84? Sure he was on once with Midge and Holly Johnson and recall in '83 he appeared in a very bright orange jumper and looked uneasy to me as the other 5 team members were all riding high in the charts - Paul Young sat next to him? Paula made a couple of appearances ('my boyfriend's in the audience') and by and large it was a good show for the times. Buzz****s seems far more raucous and less coherent than Mike's show and, talking as we have been about ex-Radio 1 breakfast show presenters and their fondness for Bob, always felt Mike was a really big fan - he played Drag Me Down frequently on his show in '84. He was with Bob when Eamon sprung his red book surprise in 84/85.

Hadn't seen that show Mark, though think it may have been later than 1983. Bob was sporting a bright orange jumper in May 1986 at Self Aid in Dublin, but it may date back to 1983 (money was in short supply then!).

Here's Geldof wearing said sweater at Self Aid.Same jumper???

I've an idea this is the listing for the 'orange jumper' show:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0808991/

Went out 4th June '83 and Bob would have been with 5 other artists all riding high in the charts when the Rats put nothing out and not much was happening. I think he told Mike a tour of the universities was underway 'ya know pretty low key' or words to that effect.

IMDB lists 2 shows with Paula (one a Christmas special from '81 I've since found on You Tube) and 3 with Bob in '82/'83/'84. We all know it's the Fine Tube of Surfacing and one day, Johnnie fingers crossed, they will emerge.

I loved watching Pop Quiz - much easier than university challenge! Always a bonus if Bob was on or if Rats got a mention
