Once this Isle of Wight date is out of the way, I suspect there will be another gig or two announced. Maybe one not sandwiched between Elvis Costello and Stone Roses at short notice with a bit of luck. Better keep the diary free.

I'm anticipating there may be activity around Sept/Oct time. Geldof usually goes on holiday in August and then comes back and does a tour. His tour calendar is suspiciously quiet. My feeling is they are waiting to see if these gigs are successful.

I can't see any issue with Isle of Wight nor Chagstock as both will attract crowds regardless. The Marquee gig is probably going to be the best gague of how much of a draw they are these days. If there is a bit of coverage of the Isle of Wight it may boost sales a bit. Absolute Radio are broacasting the Weller set, but I haven't seen any others. Not even 100% certain Sky Arts are broadcasting it. Not that it matters to me as I downgraded all my channels last week and no longer have it.
As an aside, I noted Bruce Forsyth has been added to the Glastonbury bill along with the Stones. Rats are still a bit too young to do that one. I guess.
