Amsterdam would be my top choice. Geldof has three dates in the Netherlands in September, so it's unlikely he will be touring there with the Rats, but you never know.
Wouldn't mind going somewhere like Copenhagen either, or some German cities like Hamburg or Berlin. Banana Republic was a hit in Germany. It's possible that they may try some dates in the US and Canada, but like in Australia they will have to choose very carefully and not be over ambitious.
'Düsseldorf (Weeze)'. The airport actually serves better the closer Dutch cities of Venlo,Nijmegen and Arnhem, the German city of Duisburg and the immediate Weeze area

Shouldn't there be some sort of European law about naming airports under the 'trade descriptions act' or it's equivalent. Here is a list of Ryanair airports furthest from the city they purport to serve:
Stansted is about 22 miles/36 km from London, and Gatwick 26 miles/45km but the transport links are fairly decent so distance isn't really an issue. Heathrow is supposedly in London, but it takes up to two hours to get there by road in the rush hour from central London. And when Boris Island gets built, London airport won't even be on the mainland! Only one proper airport in London, City, possibly the best airport in the world!
