We have started to get a few magazine articles (Mojo) and reviwes of the greatest hits, but will there be any live TV appearances by the band, prior to the Tour.
The "Chat shows" of Norton and Ross etc should return in September, so do others think we may see an interview by Bob Geldof plugging the reformed band and tour with the band playing also?

I for one can see this happening
It's possible that Geldof will appear on some of the big name chat shows eg Norton, Ross etc I'm just not too sure if Geldof reforming The Boomtown Rats in that much of a story to those who are not fans. And we know there is no shortage of folk who more than anything want to become celebrities, so there might be a bit of a queue before Bob.
One way of getting deserved attention is to actually write a brilliant new single. Easier said than done, but that was how the band got noticed in the first place, by writing and performing great music. It's an idea that escapes some people, but the old fashioned way may just get a spot on a tv chat show on merit, rather than just because of Geldof's 'celebrity' status.
Haven't seen Mojo yet but he didn't even get a credit on the cover, just a 'Geldof revives the Rats' intro in the inside. Hardly the stuff of major stories. But then Mojo has it's playsafe policy of only touting the failsafe heroes of rock, hence Nirvana and The Beatles on the cover.
Think we will get to see the rats on the late late show come oct??
Late Late is on Friday night, so there is a chance as the Dublin gigs are on Saturday and Sunday. I've no idea how these chats shows work, but in the past Geldof was on the Late Late fairly regularly.
