Bob's TV production company seems to be going from strength to strength. I have seen some of the films, without realising they were made by his company.

Hope his dad enjoyed the day out.  My goodness, a whole presentation without a bleep!

An amusing article from today's Scotland on Sunday. Unfortunately there is no link to this, so you can't see the really nice large full length pic of Bob, (looking as though he is standing next to a group of OAPs,) that accompanies it. I have no scanner at the moment. Please note that the words "ageing punk" or "veteran punk" are not used once. "Pop guru" sounds much better! He is getting quite a bit of publicity from Scotsman Publications recently. Lets hope this continues when he visits Glasgow in a couple of weeks. (I'll be there) There was also a really sweet article about one of his songs "The Soft Soil" in the Sunday Post a couple of weeks ago. Are Scottish journalists softening a bit towards him?

"Bob Geldof's Ten alps Live was in Aviemore yesterday for the Scottish labour party conference and marking the start of what he described as a revolution in live action television.

But a group of shivering pensioners demonstrating against the failings of the government's Financual Assistance Scheme probably wasn't quite what the pop guru had in mind.

Ten Alps Live marks the coming together of the prodction company's events and live television businesses in one operation.

Geldof was in combative form as he heralded the move  "Across the TV world, live shows from Live8 to The X factor make maximum impact because the audience joins the action. The phone voting on I'm a Celebrity goes into orbit because the drama is happening there and then on screen. And that is why we've united our own resources to make most of the live market. Events and TV shows have become one and the same- and this revolution definitely IS being televised" said Ten Alps most famous non executive director.

Other productions from the Ten Alps Live team have included the Millenium celebrations from central London and the production of the National Holocaust Memorial Day screened live on BBC2.

Jo Phillips, executive producer of Ten Alps live political programmes said, "The future is about television and internet that you can watch and experience anywhere-live".

That includes freezing pensioners.

And it is growing still. Ten Alps is getting into Internet TV too:

I'm sure I must have watched several progs/films etc produced by Ten Alps without having realised.
