I think it is just Bob alone, bit he's on it tonight, presumably discussing Rats stuff.

At one point he word for word repeated what he said on the late show regarding the dole queue, the 3,000 cameras in London and Google data mining.  I lost a lot of respect for Geldof at the end with regards to his knowledge of Cliff.  :-p

I'm still not over We Don't Talk Anymore knocking Mondays off the top spot and my aunt gloating about it.  Likewise, never had much time for Rod Stewart either.  Sexy?  In those leopard skin pants and with that big conk. You're having a laugh!

Not too enamoured with Dawn, Wizzard (on more than one occassion), Simon Park Orchestra, Mud, Bay City Rollers, Robson & Jerome and Simply Red among others for them denying far greater songs the top spot.

Rod Stewart - no I don't think you are sexy in the least. Cliff is completely naff and should never have ousted Mondays from No 1.

Does anyone think Rod Stewart is sexy?  That said number one son thought he was a good singer when he appeared on TV on Saturday night...

For two bonus points (and without looking it up), who did the Rats knock off number one?  The first is easy if you saw the Rats on TOTP, but the second less so.

Rats knocked off Travolta  and OLJ then CR knocked Rats from top position? Was there another part to your question??

Agree with a lot of what you said, ArrGee. Bob often has a well-rehearsed script he repeats at different interviews. Rod Stewart - no I don't think you are sexy in the least. Cliff is completely naff and should never have ousted Mondays from No 1.

I was going to bring up the point about Geldof trotting out the same old lines. On the interview with Pat Kenny on Newstalk in Dublin he was quoting almost ad verbatim all the same old lines from the Late Late and Zoey Ball and other recent interviews.

For someone with a great way with words you'd think he wouldn't have to resort to the same old 'script'. It all sounds a bit rehearsed and not very spontaneous. You really need some interviewer to throw a few curveballs but that rarely happens.

He always gives the same examples of how the Rats songs are currently relevant- the security cameras in London or wherever, Obama spying on Europe, Facebook and Goole 'mining your souls' (great line btw). The Boomtown Rat is becoming a boomtown parrot.

Offhand not sure, but as it was mid 1979 most likely some disco type track. I'll guess Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel, though that is not disco...
