Seems there's a pub called Fiveways just up the road, but looking at reviews and quotes from landlady it may not suit our more genteel members...
"great place to get layed, then get another bird." Google user
"We are thinking about opening up the kitchen to get more people in, as we are close to the hospital and the UEA. We would do basket meals, and nothing posh. We are a working mans pub........mainly a lager-drinkers pub, but do have one real ale....also have two darts teams and live music on Friday nights" Landlady
Works for me . I'll keep looking.....

....alternatively, a perfect opportunity to sample the delights of a student union bar, with plastic glasses that split as soon as gripped, beer at about 80p a pint (ok, maybe wishful thinking there), overflowing toilets, sticky floors, and a couple of hundred late teenage girls (definitely wishful thinking there).....oh, and boys I guess (wouldn't want to appear sexist).

As I remember they had a pretty good bar at UEA. Used to play football for my university, so we got to travel around all the universities. We had to get changed on the coach when we played there as it was a bit of a trek. Mind you that was about 30 years ago, so may have changed.
