I watched it and it is a very weird show. During the Geldof interview it was like Nolan (whoever he is) was arguing that people should take up arms. And as for the gay debate and the tits out for the lads, they beggared belief. Seemed to cover similar ground to the Lawson interview which I still have to watch in its entirety.
Welcome to the north of Ireland mate. This guy Nolan is very good at getting each sides back up then he walks away. Bit of a sh?t stair over here. (And very good at it) You will also get him on 5 live in England at the weekends

Stephen Nolan is great of BBC 5 Live. Millions of people listen to him so he is well known, and I've always liked him. Haven't seen this Geldof interview but Nolan is normally very fair, and not sure what the 'taking up arms' bit is about. We've had nearly 40 years of Nationalist and Unionists both taking up arms, so I'm not sure what that's about? Possibly he was playing devils advocate to push some point.
Here here ArrGee I know what i am talking about I live in the north. It was like morrisons lots of rats fans there for a wee drink But no had a rats tshirt on because walking through out town that would have ment you were from the other sidh (If you kb=now wnat i mean) The only ones with the rats tshirts would have been the one that did not live here. But apart from all that sh?t this was a great night Full house and more
... walking through out town [wearing] that would have ment you were from the other side
Sure I know all about that, never catch me in N17
It is interesting that an audience member felt obliged to state "as a loyalist", as if he had no opinion of his own and it can only be framed in terms of their political/religious beliefs. Whenever I'm asked anything, I never say as a _______ (fill in as required). It's my opinion.
Suss Its just an nothern ireland thing It's just that we are used to it But outsiders think we are mad.Glad you enjoyed the gig and our wee part of the world. Was nice to meet you
