Boomtown Rats- be on stage longer!!

I saw the Rats in Bournemouth last nigh. The show was incredible. The venue was packed. 'Joey's On The Streets Again' was particularly strong.

BUT they didn't go on until about 9pm. If they went on a 8.45 they could have comfortably fitted in Having My Picture Taken, Howard Hughes, Elephant's Graveyard and Never Bite The Hands That Feed. Everyone was loving it. Please for future dates can you cut a couple of Patrik Fitzgerald's songs and play more Rats.

Maybe, but a lot better than Isle of Wight set.   I think the only occasions the full set was played was Dublin.  Hurtwood also had the full set at the time, as they didn't have the eponymous song to wrap things up.  They also dropped Having My Picture Taken in Cork.

It is disappointing when the set is truncated.  At Blackheath last year there were a couple of songs dropped and it wasn't as if the Bradbury Rats had the longest set in the first place, though they more than made up for that in Dublin a fortnight later.

The Rats set is shorter than a typical Geldof set as he rarely has support.  Then again, I'd say Geldof doesn't exert himself quite as much when performing solo.   Given the high energy of the performances I have seen, they are doing well to play for over an hour and a half.

The performance was great. I guess I'd love to see the untruncated set. But Bournemouth was packed out. Fans are coming out in force

They can cut all of Patrik Fitgeralds part and add in a few. More Rats songs.

Packed out on a rainy Tuesday night, can't be bad.

Interestingly althought it felt pretty packed it was only around 2/3 full according to staff. Allegedly can hold 1800, but maybe there was more space upstairs? To be fair, there was room back by the main doors throughout the gig.

Still more than enough to make it worthwhile and have a great time though!

Some fans are bigger than others?
