The tickets so far have said special guests (plural) yet all we have had is one (Patrik Fitzgerald). We should get a refund!
I wouldn't really expect Gerry Cott to turn up though he does have a habit of turning up when I do. I don't think he would play anyway. Will make no difference to me, just looking forward to seeing the Rats one more time.
It was great to see and hear (!) Gerry again and loved the way Boomtown Bob announced him as af friend. Awesome show, glad I came over to good old England. Thank you Rats!!!
And for all you YouTube-haters, I recorded a lot in lovely HD/Stereo. See you soon...
Old bloke next to me in the seats just sat and watched the show in total silence staring at the stage, no clapping, no cheering, nothing. At the end he just got up and walked out!! Couldn't believe it. Must have been the only one in the Roundhouse who didn't get swept up in a great gig. Special mention for Darren who seems to have blended in with the old buggers seamlessly. Really enjoyed his guitar work. Now on to Bristol, if I can get there thanks to the good old British weather!
We spotted Gerry waiting to come on. Bob glanced over, smiled and nodded. When Gerry came on stage, they hugged. It did fee like old friends together. Alan and Darren just seem a pRt of it all now.
I could see right behind the stage and the rooms where the band came out and spotted Gerry half way through the gig walking out guitar in hand. Great to see him.
I felt a tap on my shoulder. Couldn't hear what Martyn was saying but he was pointing to the side of the stage. I didn't realise at first, then spotted Gerry waiting in the wings. Was getting very excited indeed at that point. I nudged the woman standing next to me. She asked me who he was. I told her and was very happy!
Really great to see them play together - and all of them seem happy to be doing so. Must have been quite overwhelming for him after all the years away ..
It was brilliant to see Gerry Cott on stage with the Rats-dare I say that Gerry was looking more fit and healthy than some of the others, to my eyes anyway, but I won't name names.
I got the impression that a lot of the people in the crowd did not know who he was. Of course the diehard fans knew, but there was lots of polite applause and no more. Five Rats on the same stage- never thought I'd see the day...
