I have seen them seven times since they reformed, and not one of the gigs was a disappointment. In fact if they were to play again in the next six months I am certain I would go again (at least ...once or twice)

Geldof on stage was  just brilliant, defying age, or just not giving it a thought. The original member playing on the songs just makes such a difference, and you could see it from the fans reaction.

It was great to see Gerry Cott at the Roundhouse, five Rats on stage, unbelievable. It would be nice if Gerry had done a few more songs but still just the fact that he was on stage was a real treat-Gerry was there until Mondo Bongo, let us not forget.

The meet ups were fun and I remember a few years ago that the idea of a meet up seemed a big deal, that would have to take a lot of organising, now it's just a bunch of us arranging to meet in a local pub before a Rats or Geldof gig.Simple.

Hurtwood Park Polo will always mean a lot to me.Not just seeing The Boomtown Rats but the fans who support them.Loads of people came up to me that day who I did not know thanking me for bits done over the last few years.I was taken back by so many good people that day.I got to meet the band before, had a few sherberts and then got blown away by The Boomtown Rats,a band that helped me threw my poxy teenage years and I thought I would never see them again. To top it all my brother was there to witness it all and gave the concert 10 out of 10.There are a lot of great people on this forum who I had the pleasure of meeting that day, these people who I can truely ask for help about seeing Bob or The Boomtown Rats and they will do anything to try to help.Hope we get to meet up again soon.

Never organised meet ups in the original reunion cos you could see everyone there!  Just swapped numbers with wes and that was it. Takes more organising now with meal preferences and so on. My March hare tendancies don't suit afternoons in the pub, I'm doing well to get there with the support act on stage.  The earliest I made a gig was cork.  And even then most people had left the pub. But I was the last rat in the bar that night.  zzzzzzzz
