That's too complicated for a dimwit like me. I don't mean choosing a song. How do you get a blank box on your post to put them in or copy the entire thing over and delete the ones you don't? Doh

You can reply with quote and delete the unwanted, but just list the sixteen songs. At start of June the competition proper will start.
Yes but how were the original 'groups' drawn? Were the seeded or was it an open draw? Just curious.
Random draw. I put all the song titles in a spreadsheet and stuck on an =RAND() column and sorted it 2 or 3 times. Then just split 16 times into groups of 6, but had to have some groups of five.
Didn't think too much about it, but there are some pretty weak groups and some with two or three big hitters. I will put up results of group stage at the start of June and then the real competition can begin. Looking at selections so far, Mondays and Rat Trap don't look like making it...
I think the 16 most popular songs go into the next round into 8 groups of 2, then four groups of 2 and so on until we all vote for one of 2 in the final?
At the moment So Strange for instance will be the first of the 16 songs going into the next round.
Could well have an underdog winner given the random nature of the exercise.
When the night comes, and I can't stop saying it over and over again, the result, although close as you'll ever be, will be real different to what you might think. Certain songs might go up or down, others straight up, others will fall down - I'd be lying again if I didn't tell you it's so strange how the votes go, but please vote, say hi to Mick and Dave and encourage them to before they go to sleep tonight.
And come on man at the top, never in a million years do I think you won't want to vote, the enthusiasm you show on this forum is like clockwork. Keep it up, to the bitter end, go man go and register now!
