I've been thinking that it would be interesting if Geldof/Rats tribute album was recorded. Here are a few of my ideas:
Mondays - Coldplay with Richard Ashcroft Birthday Suit - Sinead O'Connor or Kate Bush Looking After Number One - U2 Up All Night (remix) with Eminem Let it Go - Foo Fighters Like Down on Me - Radiohead Diamond Smiles - The Arcade Fire Great Song of Indifference - Pogues Mudslide - Radiohead Someone's Looking At You - Franz Ferdinand When the Night Comes - Killers
indiffernece by the pogues sounds like a good idea but i shudder at the thought of coldplaycovering mondays and even U2 doing looking after number one.razorlight would be excellent for any of the rats stuff tho

Lot of Radiohead! Agree with Kate Bush, though I think Sleep might be more interesting for her. And I have no qualms with Franz doing a turn, though Howard Hughes might be a better option.
U2 did perform Neon Heart, and Tori Amos did Mondays. And the Toy Dolls did She's So Modern. Chixdiggit and The Groovy Ghoulies could also contribute Chronic for the Troops.
The other acts I would have are Razorlight (Mary of the Fourth Form), The Strokes (Never Bite The Hand That Feeds), Happy Mondays (Banana Republic), Massive Attack (Up All Night), James (Eva Braun) and Pulp (Rat Trap). Some very tenious connections to the Rats.
I think the Kaiser Chiefs could do something good with He Watches It All
Kod this was a great idea. Pity it couldn't have happened in reality after Bob won the Life Time Achievement Award last year. there's enough material here for 2 separate albums - solo and Rats.
be warned your on dodgy ground with alot of people with pauk weller.i have to say it could be good and annie lennox would be great for pale white girls
