Nearly managed to get the missus to register to push Graveyard through because I had an idea it would lose on penalties. Quite rightly probably, she told me where to go and ultimately I wouldn't have wanted to be accused of match fixing!
Joey's On The Street Again Vs Someone's Looking At You
In the 'real' World Cup I hope The Netherlands win. Great performance against Spain, they just need to control their tempers a bit and concentrate on playing good football. England- much better than in S Africa but I think it will inevitably end in tears. Don't think Uruguay could be that bad again as they were against Costa Rica. France look good too, but against Honduras the worst side I've seen so far in this tournament.

Hearts cried out. Luckily I took advantage of a paddy power free tenner bet to make twenty five quid, so not feeling too bad. Will now follow the French and Dutch as usual having lived in Paris and Amsterdam in a previous life only to see them lose in the final.

All that preparation, for years, and then they are knocked out after two games. England played well enough, but a lot of it comes down to luck on the day.I knew Uruguay would be a lot better against England, and that proved right, but there wasn't too much between them. All the preparation in the world won't insure against bad or good luck on the matchday, no matter what the pundits say.
I'd like the Netherlands to win, once they get past Chile later. French look good too. Might be a S America vs Europe final. The Dutch are always the 'nearly men' so would be nice for them to win-and I have a soft spot for the country and their culture.
