Can everyone see the links to tickets?  The are doing NYC and Boston, 26th and 28th September, respectively.

I expect Suss will be going. I can only dream.

Hello to all Rats fans,

Should have posted this before. I had seen the Rats six times pre 86 in the UK, all of them great gigs. However, they were all with one guitar, Garry always did a fine job though. But I always felt that I have missed out not having seen them with two guitars. Having bought the live CD's from Dublin and London, I thought that was as close as I would get to seeing them and was thrilled with the sound of the band.

However, on the week of my 50th birthday they announced that not only were the Rats coming to the USA, they were coming to Boston, which I have called home these past 21 years. To say I was shocked and thrilled is an understatement, my wife not so!

Anyway I persuaded Kim that it would be fun, she did live in the UK at the time Mondays came out and bought it, but she thought they would just be a bunch of old men and not very good.

Well we went to the show on a beautiful warm September evening, the Royale is one of those old fashioned smaller theater venues which is great. There was a good crowd and they put on a terrific loud up tempo show. Ears were ringing!

My wife said they were terrific, we both bought the t-shirts and had a great evening. She even posted on Facebook that I was in heaven and they were great. Geldof was so full of energy and indeed "the Rats are back!".

Long may it continue.
