We have been corresponding with Live Nation UK in regards to supporting The Boomtown Rats on their 2014 Ratlife Tour. We have not been chosen but we are in talks.
'The Cold Heart Revue' are a UK-based blues and rock duo. Formed in 2014, the band has made major city appearances at London's 'South Bank Centre' and Liverpool's 'Cavern Club' and played an acclaimed set at this year's Cambridge Folk Festival.
The band has participated in interviews with BBC Radio 2 broadcasters Chris Evans and Paul Jones. They also appeared at the 10th Annual Wychwood Festival on the same bill as the reformed Boomtown Rats.
Founder member David Robinson has performed for Sir Paul McCartney at the LIPA Graduation Ceremony and been nominated for the 'Best Guitar Award' from the 'Institute of Contemporary Music Performance' in West London. He has appeared twice on 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson- broadcast on CBS Television in the USA.
If all goes to plan it would be the fulfilment of a personal wish to support Bob Geldof and the Boomtown Rats- a band who they cite as ground-breaking and uniquely captivating on a live stage.

The duo are true fans. I have been a member of this forum for 2 years. And we have attended the Isle of Wight, Wychwood, London and Bournemouth dates. The Rats are our heroes. We younger than the band when they started, we are far from perfect. But if all goes well - it will be the thrill of our lives. Hope you enjoy us.
Peace and love,
David Robinson & Dexter Fisher

All seems to be going well so far with Live Nation. Fingers crossed. We're just doing our utmost and speaking to as many Rats/Geldof people as we can. We really love them and want to support them.
If you were to get the support gig would we be likely to hear any Rats covers...obviously ones that aren't in the Rats own set list. Unfortunately support bands so often get ignored and talked over by the audience that maybe throwing in a familiar tune might shock them into paying attention.
