Bob Geldof: I blame myself for Peaches' death

Maybe a bit heavy, but interesting reading.  It's good that performing with the Rats is helping him, and hopefully the likes of us hanging around and watching it gives him a feeling of support.

Performing on stage with his band, The Boomtown Rats, acts as catharsis. I put on my snakeskin suit and I can be this other thing. It is utterly cathartic. Those two hours and I am drained. In every sense it empties, it drains my mind. On stage Im lost in this thing and its a very brief respite, he said.

Desperately sad. Blame is a part of grief. Sometimes we blame ourselves, other times it's others. I hope in time he realises he has absolutely nothing to be blamed for. Everything was out of his control. An addict, given help, will only resort to lies and deceit until they have the will and strength to stop. If they ever manage to do that.

It was his child that's where the blame comes from. It will away be  the what if's. Really sad you could feel his pain
